Minutes 2nd meeting in Bulgaria

13th to 15th of March 2018

Tuesday, 13th of March 2018

       The transnational meeting participants were welcomed to Hristo Botev School by students from 5th grade, headmistress and the host teachers. The pupils’ products and the project corner were shown during a tour around the school.

       The formal work started with presentation of the main activities from the meeting agenda. The participants agreed the timetable of the presentations and the activities with students from the host school.

The students from 5th and 6th grade presented an original play created and performed at a national competition. The guests visited Mrs Tsoneva’s English class and watched the 6th graders playing a  game called WHO? WHAT? WHERE? .  The Italian teachers played with pupils a game of KAHOOT dedicated to the partners’ countries.

Games made of each partner’s school were presented during the afternoon sessions on 13th and 14th  March.

            The teachers from Cyprus presented several games played by pupils from Elementary school such as funny outdoor games and educational classroom games.

The Greek colleagues showed the game Domino designed to develop grammar skills in students and Bingo prepared to develop students’ skills in math.

The teachers from Poland, shared the experience of the “Day of the Games”. During this activity the students from the school played different games and had to vote for the most interesting and useful of game.

After the last transnational meeting partners applied a variety of games in the classroom to motivate pupils' interest as well as creativity. The international teams worked to collect information, describe, adapt and evaluate popular or little-known games such as: traditional outdoor games, board games etc.

Wednesday, 14th of March 2018

The guests visited the English class of Mrs. Goergieva in the elementary school level. The students played games dedicated to Easter: -solving pictures puzzles and collecting sentences for greetings.

            A board game about the celebration of World Water Day 2018 was created and presented by the host students from 5th grade.

             The teachers from Spain and Turkey presented traditional sports games.  The host students were very excited to play the outdoor game Caliche presented by the team from Spain.

The Italian teachers made a gift for participants: printed materials of GoGoals – an educational game which aim is to achieve 17 goals of the sustainable development by 2030.

The teachers from Romania presented the games they applied in Biology, Chemistry, Natural Sciences and Math classes.

A team of host teachers and students presented a designed game with questions that is dedicated to World Water Day.

The Spanish colleague showed the mobile app for students’ evaluation- Plickers. The students give their answers by showing "Plickers" cards, and the teacher scans the cards with the phone and takes the individual result into personal student account.

The session finished with the Mobility tool+ review.

Thursday, 15th of March 2018

            The foreign participants were invited to the Mayor’s office.  A short discussion about the limited perspectives for the small town and the options about future collaboration between partners was held.

The hosts prepared and handed out the meeting papers:  - Participation list with signatures, - Certificates, - Declarations of attendance; -Questionnaire about feedback.

During the event, the participants discussed issues related to the methodology of using gaming in learning in different subject areas of students aged 7-14.

The project coordinator presented the achieved project aims until now and the road map for the next months.

Participants collected and shared all the meeting materials in Google Drive and for the project website.
